hey is there a level selector? i wanna play the new levels but i don't want to do the old ones again

(+1)

Hi there! Thanks for playing! We did consider a level selector but couldn't put it in the recent update due to time and RL constraints unfortunately. Pet also made some changes in the old levels to help reinforce some concepts for the later levels so some of the old ones are "remixed" to help you solve the newer levels so there could still be a couple of new things to see even if you are familiar with the old version. Would be happy to get back to you in this thread if we do end up putting in the selector though 👍

(+2)

I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure I'd want to play an enhanced version. 15 puzzles felt like enough to explore the concept. Maybe it could be just one part of a larger puzzle game that has various strange creatures to play as?

(+2)

Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts! We're hoping to create a nice sense of progression in the enhanced version, the current plan is to have themed areas which will introduce new mechanics, characters, environments and music. We think there's still a lot to explore with this idea mechanically, we'll see how far we can take it! :)

I agree with dev, there are depths and depths to this concept. Having just played the updated 29 levels, I was left feeling like I wish there were a bunch more and maybe even a few more mechanics/types of switch along the way. But even without adding anything, the combination of being able to drop hand and for the players to push each other I think has bottomless potential for brain-melting puzzles. Hard part's just designing them. But boy howdy, if you start adding simple stuff every few levels like, say, a tile which allows rotation of the player (but only if actuated by the other player?) this thing could approach nearly BaBa levels of epicness.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, glad to hear we're not the only ones who see the mechanical potential of the game :D. You're not wrong about it being challenging making the puzzles. The rotating panel idea is a great one that in hindsight I feel surprised we hadn't thought of it, it's now in the idea pool, thanks!

Cool puzzle game, played all the levels, it is not much of a challenge but it is not way too easy either.

(+1)

Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts :). We didn't want anyone to get too stuck on the puzzles, so your comment fits really well with our aim!

(+1)

Funny)

(+1)

Hello, are you interested in getting your games translated? Bc i can do it for free

(+1)

Hey thanks! We're not planning on translating this version, but we'll likely localize the full version of the game in the future. Follow us, we'll put out a call for translators in the future :)

(+3)

Good game. However,

Why nobody comments about the chopped off hand(s)?!

The poor hand(s) :'(. The Handshakers seem alright though ;)

(+3)

I would love to see a fully developed version of this game

It is really good!

Thank you! We're currently working on a full version of Handshakes :D

Aw Sick! Please send the link in this comment, I would love to play it!

(+3)

Great game! The puzzles are surprisingly smart for such a simple concept, and the music is nice.

Thank you! I'm a big fan of the music too :D

(+3)

I played this game with 2 different friends already, it is an absolute masterpiece. The level design is awesome and I like how you can finish some levels in more than 1 way. The only thing I didn't like was that the 14th lvl seemed a little basic, but besides that the game is perfect, I also love the wholesome vibe of it.

Thanks for sharing your kind words and your criticism! We're working on an updated version of the game and we'll definitely look into balancing the difficulty curve as best we can.

(+3)

very good game )

❤️

(+2)

Cool Game :). Maybe you could ad teleporters or something where the other Player can activate them, you don´t have to put it in the Game. It´s just a Idea.

(+1)

Thanks for playing and sharing your idea! We've already got Portals planned for the next version of the game :). Teleport pads could be cool too 🤔

(+4)

Amazing game! I'd love to see a mechanic where each person has 2 arms. Or maybe one where you have to match them up with a specific other person, like maybe 2 business people need to do a handshake and 2 lovers need to hold hands? Some pitfalls could be cute, too, like avoiding sweat (no one likes a clammy hand!). But yeah, really enjoyed the game it had me smiling the whole time haha

Thanks for your kind words and for your ideas! We've got some similar ideas planned for the followup game :> you've got some interesting spins on it though that we hadn't thought of, they're going on the whiteboard! :D

(+3)

Really cool game, I really enjoyed the dead hand mechanics, so creative!

(+2)

Very fun. I have no compliments or critiques.

(+2)

Best game I've played on Itch.io by far

(+2)

this is good if this gets onto steam with more levels i can play it for hours and hours on end or maybe just refined graphics

Thanks for your comment, that's our plan :D it's currently in the works!

(+1)

wow that game is just like, wow.

(+2)

i'm a person who generally avoids puzzle games because i can get frustrated easily but this game was a nice treat to play! simple mechanics, charming music, fun little concept, not super hard but enough to make me think. would love to see more of it!

Glad to hear that the game clicked for you! We're working on a new version of the game, if you'd like to stay up to date you can follow me and any updates will pop up in your feed :)

GREAT GAME

but there are some cursed bugs when pressing the undo button

This is a really gamebreaking bug that allows you to control your hand even when the gates are closed

(+1)

Thanks for pointing those bugs out! We'll try reproducing those and fixing them. If you have more detailed steps in how you got those let us know. Either way glad you enjoyed the game!

(+1)

i can explain to you more indepth how to trigger the bug. its not hard to pull off and you can skip very mutch but we should swith to dc or something maybe

No worries, I've looked into it a bit already and think I've found where it stems from. It'll be fixed up in an upcoming update. Thanks for letting us know :)

(+1)

okay, no problem

(+1)

its basicly just messing with the undo mechanic and the destroyal of the arms when gates are closed

(+2)

this was super fun! the idea was cute and the puzzles were at just the right difficulty to challenge someone but not frustrate them!!!

(+1)

Just beated the whole thing. Really clever design, i like how the level names are hints

(+1)

A really fun idea for a puzzle game! :D

(+1)

this was so fun!!! great game!

(+1)

hey. played your game in jam.

im just curious of something other than the great gameplay.

i pressed 'H' a few times and some parts of the texts appeared and some do not. just wanted to notify you. here are some pictures.

Hey, thanks for playing and letting us know! We'll look into it 👍

(+1)

I already commented on the Game Jam submission page but DAMN! This game is so much fun and has A LOT of potential with introducing new mechanics! I'd love to see a further developed version of this on Steam or a Nitrome type website!

(+1)

This was so fun. I appreciate the gradual spike in difficulty and the pacing of adding new mechanics. The art and music were great, too.

(+3)

Wow, this game is incredible! The difficulty scaling is just perfect, and I felt so smart after beating the last level!
