Great job on achieving that time! There is probably someone who has a faster time. But when we do eventually put a leaderboard into the game, then your name will surely be into it! :)
Thanks for sharing, so happy to hear that you were able to enjoy the game with your daughter! <3 Too bad the Linux build did not seem to work for you, I installed it on my deck (Q2) by using the itch.io app and it actually ran fine. Maybe it's a difference in model?
was reminded of this game and remembered that an update was coming, so i came back to check it out! i like the creativity in the new levels and the skip button was a nice for me to see more of the game without frustrating my tired brain at this time of night. this update was just what i was hoping for with this game :]
also, i like that each level is named! both because theyre funny/cute and theyre helpful hits for how to approach each level, which is always much appreciated
I'm on level 27 (playing in browser), and got into a situation where I'd pushed the top guy so their body was right next to the first door, with their hand in the doorframe. Once I pushed away the crate holding the door open, the level reset completely, except now the controls don't work.
I can still hit Esc to bring up the menu, the music is playing, and the scrolling background is still, y'know, scrolling, but WASD/Arrows do nothing. Refreshing the page to reload the game fixes it, and retains my progress (thankfully!)
I had the same problem. Instead I pressed ESC then Restart Game thinking it would restart the level or return to the level select screen. But no, I'm back at level 0. :-(
Hi there! Thanks for playing! We did consider a level selector but couldn't put it in the recent update due to time and RL constraints unfortunately. Pet also made some changes in the old levels to help reinforce some concepts for the later levels so some of the old ones are "remixed" to help you solve the newer levels so there could still be a couple of new things to see even if you are familiar with the old version. Would be happy to get back to you in this thread if we do end up putting in the selector though 👍
I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure I'd want to play an enhanced version. 15 puzzles felt like enough to explore the concept. Maybe it could be just one part of a larger puzzle game that has various strange creatures to play as?
Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts! We're hoping to create a nice sense of progression in the enhanced version, the current plan is to have themed areas which will introduce new mechanics, characters, environments and music. We think there's still a lot to explore with this idea mechanically, we'll see how far we can take it! :)
I agree with dev, there are depths and depths to this concept. Having just played the updated 29 levels, I was left feeling like I wish there were a bunch more and maybe even a few more mechanics/types of switch along the way. But even without adding anything, the combination of being able to drop hand and for the players to push each other I think has bottomless potential for brain-melting puzzles. Hard part's just designing them. But boy howdy, if you start adding simple stuff every few levels like, say, a tile which allows rotation of the player (but only if actuated by the other player?) this thing could approach nearly BaBa levels of epicness.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, glad to hear we're not the only ones who see the mechanical potential of the game :D. You're not wrong about it being challenging making the puzzles. The rotating panel idea is a great one that in hindsight I feel surprised we hadn't thought of it, it's now in the idea pool, thanks!
Hey thanks! We're not planning on translating this version, but we'll likely localize the full version of the game in the future. Follow us, we'll put out a call for translators in the future :)
I played this game with 2 different friends already, it is an absolute masterpiece. The level design is awesome and I like how you can finish some levels in more than 1 way. The only thing I didn't like was that the 14th lvl seemed a little basic, but besides that the game is perfect, I also love the wholesome vibe of it.
Thanks for sharing your kind words and your criticism! We're working on an updated version of the game and we'll definitely look into balancing the difficulty curve as best we can.
Cool Game :). Maybe you could ad teleporters or something where the other Player can activate them, you don´t have to put it in the Game. It´s just a Idea.
Amazing game! I'd love to see a mechanic where each person has 2 arms. Or maybe one where you have to match them up with a specific other person, like maybe 2 business people need to do a handshake and 2 lovers need to hold hands? Some pitfalls could be cute, too, like avoiding sweat (no one likes a clammy hand!). But yeah, really enjoyed the game it had me smiling the whole time haha
Thanks for your kind words and for your ideas! We've got some similar ideas planned for the followup game :> you've got some interesting spins on it though that we hadn't thought of, they're going on the whiteboard! :D
this was a lot of fun! thanks for making it available for us! it was just the right amount of challenging for a relaxing but thoughtful playthrough. the names of the levels were helpful little hints too! super cute
i'm a person who generally avoids puzzle games because i can get frustrated easily but this game was a nice treat to play! simple mechanics, charming music, fun little concept, not super hard but enough to make me think. would love to see more of it!
Glad to hear that the game clicked for you! We're working on a new version of the game, if you'd like to stay up to date you can follow me and any updates will pop up in your feed :)

I've shaked my friend hand but what cost? I can still feel my arms.
cut off friends hand to shake hands
is super cool!
my best time was 857.92
i did it again
Great job on achieving that time! There is probably someone who has a faster time. But when we do eventually put a leaderboard into the game, then your name will surely be into it! :)
if there is one i will beat it
Well...there is someone who got a 539,33..
This is the video of the guy who did it.Really fun puzzle game looking forward to seeing more of this in the future!
I enjoyed playing the game on stream (1:27:30)
Thats awesome! Thanks so much for taking the time to play and stream our game :)
Hi! I play your game with the steam deck... and it is amazing!... I'm planing making more of that! What do you think?
Thanks for sharing, so happy to hear that you were able to enjoy the game with your daughter! <3
Too bad the Linux build did not seem to work for you, I installed it on my deck (Q2) by using the itch.io app and it actually ran fine. Maybe it's a difference in model?
HI! it could be the way I added the game to the library (I didn't use the itch app) Need to check that! I will let you know.

Nice game! Odd that you can cut your hand off and push it around, but sorta funny in the same way. The puzzles are well made too. Great job!
The game restart button restarts the game. I was unsuspecting
Sorry about that! We've just released an update that rewords that button so that others can hopefully avoid losing their progress too.
i love this game, they at least handshake for real
🤝❤️
27 is all im doing
27 is a good number! If you decide to give it another try, we've included a skip button in the menu if you'd like to see the last remaining levels :)
https://indieoyun.org/handshake/
I promoted the game on my site.
That's awesome! Thanks for taking the time to promote it :D
You’re welcome!
uhhh i think i broke something
Now that's a nasty and beautiful looking bug!
Hmm, my guess is that you clicked on one of those buttons to the left? They're normally supposed to be hidden.
If I'm wrong, would you mind telling me how you created this masterpiece? xD
329482398 points for the last level, cute and tricksy
Much appreciation for the points ^_^, nice work finishing em all!
Very cool game!
Amazing concept overall, I can tell you, you could make it into a steam release with a little more work! 😊
Thanks! A steam release is on the horizon :>
amazing! it would be cool to see a 3d variant of this game! cant wait to see what you do next
Handshakes 3D is an cool idea! Something for the future perhaps 🤔
I hope this is an OK place to report a bug!
I'm on level 27 (playing in browser), and got into a situation where I'd pushed the top guy so their body was right next to the first door, with their hand in the doorframe. Once I pushed away the crate holding the door open, the level reset completely, except now the controls don't work.

Good game so far, really enjoying it :)
Hey aawood, thanks for playing and the bug report! Yup, the comments are fine for reporting we do check them regularly 👍
Afaik that reset was supposed to happen, the loss of control however most definitely wasn't , I will make a note for Pet to take a look at it. 👌
I had the same problem. Instead I pressed ESC then Restart Game thinking it would restart the level or return to the level select screen. But no, I'm back at level 0. :-(
Oh dang, sorry about the unclear wording on the button, I'll patch that up soon so that no one else falls into that trap.
Probably a bit late now, but pressing R will restart a level, pressing E will undo a move.
hey is there a level selector? i wanna play the new levels but i don't want to do the old ones again

Cool puzzle game, played all the levels, it is not much of a challenge but it is not way too easy either.
Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts :). We didn't want anyone to get too stuck on the puzzles, so your comment fits really well with our aim!
Funny)
Hello, are you interested in getting your games translated? Bc i can do it for free
Hey thanks! We're not planning on translating this version, but we'll likely localize the full version of the game in the future. Follow us, we'll put out a call for translators in the future :)
Good game. However,
Why nobody comments about the chopped off hand(s)?!
The poor hand(s) :'(. The Handshakers seem alright though ;)
I would love to see a fully developed version of this game
It is really good!
Thank you! We're currently working on a full version of Handshakes :D
Aw Sick! Please send the link in this comment, I would love to play it!
Great game! The puzzles are surprisingly smart for such a simple concept, and the music is nice.
Thank you! I'm a big fan of the music too :D

Thanks for playing and sharing your idea! We've already got Portals planned for the next version of the game :). Teleport pads could be cool too 🤔

Really cool game, I really enjoyed the dead hand mechanics, so creative!
Very fun. I have no compliments or critiques.
Best game I've played on Itch.io by far
this is good if this gets onto steam with more levels i can play it for hours and hours on end or maybe just refined graphics
Thanks for your comment, that's our plan :D it's currently in the works!
this was a lot of fun! thanks for making it available for us! it was just the right amount of challenging for a relaxing but thoughtful playthrough. the names of the levels were helpful little hints too! super cute
I like this game, good job.
Sorry for my simple english, I'm french.
i lv it
wow that game is just like, wow.
